About this project
MilesOrCash compares real cash flight prices against award-miles redemptions and shows the exact cash value of a redemption before booking. A typical result: London Heathrow to New York JFK at 742 GBP cash versus 42k Virgin Points plus 198 GBP in taxes, a 324 GBP saving, with the right transfer partner identified automatically.
The engine uses real-time market data and historical redemption values across hundreds of routes. It supports over 50 airline loyalty and bank programs, including Emirates Skywards, United MileagePlus, Delta SkyMiles, and Flying Blue, and compares multiple programs at once against live cash prices. It is a comparison engine by design: bookings happen on the airline's own site, and recent searches stay on the user's device.
The product also ships a Telegram bot, a ChatGPT app, and a travel blog on award-travel strategy, and cross-links FlightPoints for advanced strategies.
