Read your game in English. Live English over the text in your games, from any of 12 languages, with no root and nothing sent online.
TapTL started with the Chinese release of Valorant Mobile, which has no English option. It records the screen through Android's normal screen sharing, reads the text on the phone, and draws English boxes over the original, coloured to match the background behind them. It works with any app or game that allows screen capture, and turns on and off from a Quick Settings tile.
Each frame is shrunk to a tiny grayscale copy and compared with the last one, so a still screen costs nothing and only the parts that changed get read. ML Kit does the text recognition and the translation, both on the device. A word list built from the official Valorant names is checked first, so agents, weapons and maps keep their real English names instead of a literal translation. When the whole screen keeps moving, as it does in a match, the overlay hides itself.
It needs no root, no Accessibility service and no account. The overlay cannot be touched, so every tap still reaches the game, and nothing reads game memory or injects input. After a one-time download of about 40 MB per language it works offline. The site at taptl.pages.dev has a before and after slider made from real captures on a Poco F5.
